Be your own fashion icon.

The way you dress represents your personality, what makes you feel comfortable. Your clothes make you feel you. You dress according to your body shape, your skin tone, whatever makes you feel confident. Growing up, I went through various stages on what fits me. As I got older, I began to love dressing up and experimenting with clothes. I loved seeing what was in, and how I could make it me. I began to get inspired by watching classic turner movies. The actresses back then were very elegant, classic, and modest. Which inspired me, because I dress modest. I wear long skirts every day. I got questioned my whole life, on why do I wear the long skirts everyday. I get annoyed by the questions, because why not? It's out of the ordinary. Why do you wear pants everyday? Why must I look like everybody else? Of course dressing modest was part of my religion, and not because I  was forced to wear them, because you're never forced to do anything. It was because my faith taught me to dress this way. I do get judged a lot on how I dress, and the challenge is what makes my style unique. I love dressing different from everybody else. It's what makes me stand out. I do get compliments, because I have a very vintage look.

People assume that dressing modest is boring and ugly.
They automatically see "House on the Prairie"

Shopping is challenging, but not impossible. It actually encourages me to get creative and customize my looks. When you can't find skirts, you find ways to make them. My inspiration is fashion icon Audrey Hepburn. Her style was elegant, classic and timeless. Her look was simple, and she let her personality outshine her wardrobe.
Dressing modest doesn't have to be boring. Having your own unique style is what makes you, you! Don't let anybody ever make you feel bad for dressing how you want. I've been judged my whole life dressing the way I do, but that won't stop me from dressing how I want. Wear what makes you happy.
